The purpose of this Market Call section is to educate readers in technical analysis patterns and indicators. As with all investment information, you need to research information and consult your financial advisor before initiating any strategies that are contained in Market Call.

Also, you must realize that as with all trading strategies, opinions can change quickly depending on market conditions and developments.

Over the past 2 months, many stocks are off 30-40%. When I look at stocks that may rally when the market turns around, I look for stocks that have good relative performance relative to the rest of the market.

I like stocks that are above their 50-day moving average. I also like stocks that have recently moved to a positive MACD indicator.

New Era of Networks, NEON, meets these criteria. The stock has recovered from a corrective period and now meets the criteria of:

1. Above its 50 day moving Average
2. Positive MACD
3. Momentum moving up
4. Price moving up
5. Money flow moving up

We are in volatile markets, so as always, it is critical to use stop loss to protect any position. This includes long and short positions.

I would buy NEON here and place my stop at 35.
